Fundraising

McDonald Elementary has various ways of raising funds for our school. The best part is that you are probably already doing things that could help us. For example, do you eat cereal? Soup? Do you have access to a printer? We participate in three programs that turn these activities into money.

General Mills Boxtops
We collect the BoxTops for Education which is a General Mills program. The BoxTop logos are on their products. You cut out the logo and either send it to us or send it in with a student. Each logo is just like handing us a dime. They are worth 10 cents each and we get a check from General Mills twice a year.  Our school can earn up to $20,000.

Campbell's Soup Labels
We participate in a similar program with Campbell's Soup. The entire label can be peeled off the can and either sent in by mail or by student.

Printer Cartridges
We also recycle inkjet cartridges for a wide variety of printers. The key is that it must be a cartridge - not an ink tank. The quickest way to tell the difference is that you can see the computer chip on the cartridge. A tank does not have a chip, but the cartridge does. We also recycle toner cartridges. The toner cartridges should be given to us in the box in which they originally came. We send these cartridges in for recycling to raise money for our school.
